At this year’s exhibition, a selection of students, ranging from first-year undergraduates to doctoral candidates at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in Serbia, will present their short fiction films, experimental films, video essays, video poems, animations, and single-channel video installations created as part of their academic coursework during the winter semester.
Although all the works were developed in response to this year’s official theme of the Moscow International Video Art Exhibition, Lost and Found, they reveal remarkably diverse artistic sensibilities, poetics, and formal approaches.
This collaboration was organized by Dan Smith, head of Moscow International Video Art Exhibition and lecturer at the British Higher School of Art and Design (Russia), and Marko Ubović, PhD, assistant professor at the Department of New Media Arts, Academy of Arts, University of Novi Sad (Serbia), who supervised the students’ work in the course Introduction to New Media Arts. The works from the course Video were developed under the mentorship of Full Professor Dragan Živančević.
